Book Expo America (BEA) did not disappoint this year! After a bit of chaos last year with ereaders and ebooks, the industry seems to be getting their stuff together. I spent a lot of time meeting with various vendors and companies on behalf of YOU our BookWise authors. I am very excited about new marketing ideas, new developments with eBooks and mobile apps and more and more self published authors rising to the cream of the crop. {Next year BEA is June 5-7, 2012 – Make plans NOW to attend}

BookWise Publishing will be partnering with 2 new vendors to offer some inexpensive COOL new options for authors interested in taking their books digital as well as creating mobile apps for the iPhone, DROID, iPad and other smart phones. More info to come on this!

We are excited about Book Radio on SiriusXM. BookWise Publishing author Nancy Miles was featured on their program during BEA. I met with the producer and this will be another marketing tool for our BookWise authors. More information to come!

At the same time as BEA was the Blog Expo, this expo featured the best of online marketing, blogging, social media and more! This was an ADDED bonus to the BEA experience and I have tons of result driven ideas for your online marketing efforts! I am super excited about what I learned with all of you!!

I had the pleasure of meeting listening to John Lithgow discuss his new memoir book. Even famous people have difficulty writing books. Listening to his experience was incredible. {It was also fun to get a signed galley copy}

BEA is Around the Corner

We hope you will all consider going to BEA this year. It is a fantastic experience and New York is beautiful at the end of March. Karen will not be going due to some personal issues (hopefully finally settling the case against the dump truck company involved in her sweetheart’s accident). She wishes so much she could be there with you all. It has been a wonderful experience every time she has been. She will be missed! Meg is planning on going and will have more information for you soon.
